1.) A Foot of Snow Blanketed Campus, Delaying Classes
2.) STORM Chaser Fans Sporting White STORM Basketball Tees Created a WHITE-OUT @ the SIMPSON vs. Central Games!

Since I work from home a couple hours away & travel all the time, I rarely get to see the STORM teams in action. So, this was a treat! I was so proud to see such a great student turnout at the games and the SIMPSON Dance Team & Cheerleaders did really well. The SIMPSON Storm Spirit was truly aLiVe Thursday night!

Before the game, me & most of the Admissions Staff scarfed down some aMaZiNg Pete's Pizza on The Square. It was so nice to hang out with everyone again...the fact that all of us Admissions Counselors are also Simpson alums is definitely representative of how WoNdErFuL this community really is! We all bleed red & gold, believe in The SIMPSON Experience, and have a great time working together on bringing more cool students to campus. We're not only co-workers, but we're all good friends, too - you can't find that in many workplaces... :)

SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) & Iowa Realty paired up to sponsor the WHITE-OUT, providing free t-shirts to the first 50 STORM fans. They also had a big paper airplane throw onto the court at halftime of the guys' game for fans to win gift certificates (a HOT commodity for poor college students!).

Like I have featured @ the top of my blog as the current highlight: The STORM Women's Basketball Team is ranked #7 in the NATION & they just broke two school records vs. the Central College Dutch! The STORM won 120-41, scoring the most points in a game & had a record 66 rebounds!

What makes this even better?! It was against CENTRAL...our BIGGEST RIVAL! :) ...it's always heated competition between the two colleges, since we're only 40 miles apart - a fun rivalry for sure.
