I don't know about you, but I really can't believe it's already 2008! - unlike the saying goes, I think time flies whether you're having fun or not! 2008 means I graduated from high school 10 years ago - UGH! 2008 means I'm turning 28 years old - louder UGH! But, this just means I have to face reality & appreciate each moment of life - there is no stopping time. - A sad realization equal to learning the fate of Santa Claus; that Doc Brown & his Delorian time machine of Back to the Future are make-believe. :(
Thankfully, 2007 was a good year for me, so here are my off-the-red carpet-plus 50 pounds-minus million dollar earrings-Tiffy's Choice Awards...
Top 10 of the Big Screen of '07
- Knocked Up - crude, but outright hilarious one-liners!
- Alvin & the Chipmunks - I want a Theodore for a friend.
- The Nanny Diaries - much better than I expected; an all-around great dramatic & comedic tearjerker. And I loved Harvard Hottie - bonus points for the Yankee cap he wore!
- The Bourne Ultimatum - The Bourne series is pretty much the only action I'll watch because it actually has a good plot! ...& Matt Damon is nice to look at. :)
- Sicko - disturbing, but eye-opening & REAL!
- The U.S. vs. John Lennon - who can't love a guy who is not only an incredible songwriter, but will rebel to such extremes for PEACE!
- Freedom Writers - One of my all-time favorite movies that I think everyone should see - I also read the book & even liked that better. It presents a sad reality that could be prevented, but is heartwarming from their desire to change...
- Hairspray - so entertaining & I-don't-care-if-people-are-looking-at-me-car dancing FUN!
- P.S. I Love You - haven't seen it yet, but i'm sure it'll make the list...& Hilary Swank is one of my favorite actresses.
- Juno - haven't seen it yet, but i'm sure it'll also make the list...it looks like a great, quirky comedy like Napoleon Dynamite & Little Miss Sunshine.

My husband & I vacationed with 3 other friends in northern Minnesota last July, spending 7 days in a cabin, fishing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, snorkeling, swimming & relaxing - pure serenity! ...despite breaking my toe on the first day.

Gymnast Shawn Johnson - the adorable, amazing 15 year old gal from West Des Moines, IOWA who was the Pan American All-Around Champion, American Cup All-Around Champion, 2007 U.S. National Champion, AND the 2007 World Champion! I can't wait to see her REPRESENT in the Olympics!
Best Sports Story of '07
The fact that one or two teams didn't dominate the college basketball or college football seasons - it made it so much more fun to watch!
I look forward to see what lies ahead in 2008!
