SiMPSON DiD iT!

...we UPSET our BiGGEST RiVAL, the Central Dutch in a nervewracking, but AMAZiNG football game last Saturday!

It was a COLD, COLD day, but the STORM was HOT...we went ahead 17-7; Central fought back to tie it (thankfully we held 'em to only a field goal) & the game went in to OT. We scored on a 2nd down 25 yard pass. Then on Central's 2nd down, STORM senior Tim Stover INTERCEPTED it to WiN 24-17! The fact that it was AT CENTRAL made the win even better.

I wish I could see the replay! :D

This was the PERFECT end to a 7-3 season & PERFECT beginning to a new SiMPSON STORM DOMiNATiON..it was very special for the seniors, the NEW coaching staff, the 8 SPiRiTED shirtless guys cheering on a freezing day, & the entire SiMPSON community.

Simpson Student Blogs for "GLAMOUR" Magazine!

I have featured her before & I am yet again, proud of one of my students who is remaining very AcTiVe not only on campus but on the other side of the country - letting her voice be heard!

"SIMPSON COLLEGE student Josie Rundlett is serving as a Glamocracy guest blogger Jan. 2 and Jan. 3 as part of fashion magazine Glamour’s coverage of the Iowa Caucuses.

She learned about the opportunity through a friend who is involved with the Iowa Federation of College Republicans. She was selected after sending Glamour a resume and sample blog."

Josie is a junior Political Science & History double major who recently spent a semester interning with SIMPSON'S CHIP program with the United States Senate in Washington D.C. She has also worked as an Iowa State Legislative Clerk and Page. On campus, she has been involved with Delta Delta Delta sorority, Student Government Association, College Democrats & College Republicans, Religious Life Community, PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), The Zenith yearbook, The Simpsonian campus newspaper, The Sequel art & literary magazine and intramurals.
